PGS CINEMATIC UNIVERSE

In our small town where Friday nights mean football and summer’s all about Little League, five friends – Mikey, Jordan, Lincoln, Sam, and Charlie – are just tryin’ to survive 5th grade. We met way back in kindergarten, bonding over snacks and a serious love of sports. Fast forward a few years, and now we’ve all got our own thing goin’ on – our own sports style, our vibe – but one thing’s the same: we live and breathe sports.

But here’s the problem, dudes...

Not all our friends are into sports like us. And don’t get us started on sports media – there’s nothing out there made for kids like us who just want the real deal, not some random highlights thrown between cartoons! So we decided to take matters into our own hands, and BOOM – Playground Sports was born. It’s the first sports channel for young fans, run by young fans, and it’s all for YOU.

With our YouTube and socials blowin' up, we’re out to make the best sports content on the planet. We're here to bring you all the good stuff, whether it’s epic NBA highlights, spicy hot takes, our wild thoughts on college football, or chatting with NFL stars. Playground Sports is for kids who want their sports news fresh, fun, and for real.

  • MIKEY

    Mikey emerged as the leader early on, his charisma and quick wit drawing others to him like moths to a flame. Raised in a family that valued expression and debate, Mikey learned to articulate his thoughts with a sophistication beyond his years. 

    His parents, both teachers, instilled in him a love for language and a knack for storytelling, which made him the life of any party. Despite his academic strengths, Mikey was determined to keep up with his friends in sports, using his “gift of gab” to compensate for his lack of athletic prowess.

  • JORDAN

    Jordan developed his strong opinions from a young age, influenced by his family's sports-centric dinner table debates which were as common as passing the salt. 

    With an uncle as a local sports anchor and a mother who was a former collegiate athlete, Jordan was steeped in sports culture. This environment taught him to stand firm in his beliefs and to challenge the status quo, making him the group's most fervent debater.

  • Samantha "Sam" Lee

    Equally passionate about Barbie's glamor as she is about the intensity of the College Football Playoff. Sam is a true original. An exceptional athlete known for her agility and strength on any sports field, Sam also stands out for her fashion-forward style and flawlessly styled hair, proving that athleticism and elegance coexist beautifully. 

    Sam brings a unique perspective, blending sports analysis with lifestyle content, expanding the platform's appeal and encouraging inclusivity among its young audience.

  • CHARLIE

    Charlie found solace in numbers when the chaos of school and sports became overwhelming. The son of an accountant and computer programmer, Charlie was naturally drawn to patterns and statistics. 

    One summer, he discovered his love for sports analytics when he stumbled upon his grandfather's old baseball card collection, complete with decades of player stats. Lincoln's ability to recall and analyze these numbers quickly made him an indispensable part of the group, offering insights beyond the average 5th grader's comprehension.

  • LINCOLN

    Lincoln was born into a family of athletes, and his destiny on the field was seemingly predetermined. His father, a high school football coach, and his older siblings, both star athletes, provided him with a rich environment of physical training and discipline from a young age. 

    A fierce competitor on the field, Lincoln’s off-field persona can only be described as…goofy.  A practical jokester always looking to crack up his buddies, Lincoln loves to compete at the highest level and joke around along the way!
